Hidden Gem: Chinatown's Cutest Cafe Aiyaohno Serves Up New Menu Items

Aiyaohno Cafe serves some amazing food and drinks.

Tucked away in Chinatown, this gem of a lunch spot is operated out of 425 Carral St. With their unique flavours, they have fusion sandwiches made with locally harvested uni and fresh ingredients. Run and owned by a couple (Bev and Greg), they put their heart and soul into creating everything from scratch. The bread is made daily, and they grow their own vegetables in the community garden. They also pickle their housemade condiments. Here are some of the items I have tried: New and old. I highly recommend the Wild BC Uni Sea Sandwich Cheese Melt, Ikura Shoyu Butter Udon, and Egg Truffle Salad Sandwich. Their drinks are special; they change seasonally, with their newest feature being the Sakura Latte. We loved the Hojicha Chai Latte. I highly recommend coming to check it out. You won’t be disappointed!
