Paul Boulangerie et Pâtisserie
Paul Boulangerie et Pâtisserie is a French cafe/bakery that is owned by the same company that owns Laduree. It was established back in 1889 and still thrives today. They are well known for their baguettes, pastries and baked goods. The location we visited had a constant flow of customers buying pastries and their endless types of breads (can't believe I forgot to take a photo of all the different bread!).
Check out just a few photos of the pastries available.
We decided to try two of the baguettes for lunch. I had "Le mixte" (ham and cheese on baguette) and my hubby went for the "Le pavot poulet" (chicken, tomato, mustard on sesame baguette).
We took the baguettes and had a nice picnic at Le Jardin du Luxembourg. We felt very Parisian sitting and having our lunch while people watching.
My hubby, who isn't much of a sandwich person, found his baguette a bit too crusty but tasty. I loved mine!
I wasn't super hungry that day so I didn't get any pastries. I did come back a few days later to try their pain au chocolat and a fruit tart but I forgot to take a photo before scarfing them down. Just look at these amazing and inexpensive goodies.
Paul has a ton of locations throughout France so make sure to pay them a visit, you won't regret it.
