Located in Yaletown, Tutto Restaurant + Bar offers a refined-yet-casual Italian dining experience. Diners will indulge in Italian dishes made with fresh, local ingredients that pay homage to each of Italy's provinces.

Whether you are looking for a place to enjoy a weekday business lunch, date night, or cocktail catch-up session, Tutto is the perfect all-occasion restaurant. The menu includes antipasti starters and selections from land, sea, and garden, along with traditional pastas and pizzas. You’ll find an extensive wine selection that features bottles from Italy, British Columbia, and beyond, as well as classic and inventive cocktails.

It’s been a while since I last dined at Tutto so I was excited to be back. My first visit was good, but this time was even better!

For drinks, my friend started with the Lambrusco which is her favourite type of red wine. I wanted something sweet and fruity, so I went with the Peaches From Ceccano cocktail. It was refreshing and light, with notes of juicy peaches and fragrant orange blossoms, which I liked.

Deciding what to order was difficult for us. There were many dishes we wanted to try, and everything sounded so good! After taking suggestions from our waiter, we decided on two starters and three entrées to share between us. Yes, we can eat a lot!

For starters, we went with Waygu Beef Carpaccio and Caprese Salad.

Beef Carpaccio: Waygu beef, capers, aioli, arugula, parmigianao.  Delicious!! The Waygu beef had a lovely texture and flavour. The beef was buttery, and it literally melted in my mouth. It was a simple yet elegant dish to kick off our dinner.

Caprese Salad: Mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, olives. A classic Italian salad - fresh and flavourful! With the right balance of balsamic reduction drizzled over the creamy mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil. This dish was the perfect lighter alternative to our other starter. I also enjoyed the addition of olives, which I’ve never had in a caprese salad. The slight salty pop added an extra layer of flavour to the salad.

For the entrées, we chose the Cioppino, Rack of Lamb, and Mushroom Risotto.

Cioppino: White fish, clams, prawns, focaccia, white wine tomato broth. This dish was loaded with a medley of seafood! The tomato and wine broth was rich, flavourful and well seasoned with spices. The broth was so good that we soaked up every last drop with the bread.

Rack of Lamb: Grilled vegetables, sautéed spinach, mint yogurt sauce. I LOVE Rack of lamb! If it’s on the menu, I’ll likely order it, and I’m happy I did! The lamb was tender, with a juicy pink center—the PERFECT medium rare. It had the right amount of seasoning to complement the lamb, not dominate it. My friend is not much of a lamb fan, and even she agreed it was good.

Mushroom Risotto: Arborio rice, wild mushrooms, truffles. This was the highlight of the night. Absolutely delicious! Creamy, earthy, and slightly al dente. The beautiful shavings of truffles takes it to another level. This is a must-order!

You would think we would be full and have no stomach space for dessert, right? Wrong!! For me, there’s always tummy room when it comes to dessert. We didn’t order just one, but two: Tiramisù and Yogurt Panna Cotta.

Tiramisù: Espresso & marsala, mascarpone cream. So rich and creamy, balanced with the right amount of sweetness and slight bitterness of the espresso. An indulgent and glorious dessert to accompany the dessert wine recommended by the restaurant’s sommelier.

Yogurt Panna Cotta: Fresh berries, biscotti. This was a nice, lighter, and healthier option to complete our meal. But if I were to choose between the two, I prefer the Tiramisù.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Tutto. The dishes were well executed and delicious. I look forward to coming back and trying the rest of their menu.
