Straight & Marrow’s Chris Lam; Bar Corso’s Luke Bowell add flair to Father’s Day with Spot Prawn-Centric Feast, Optional Drink Pairings
The culinary teams from Straight and Marrow and Bar Corso are putting their heads together and co-hosting a six-course Father’s Day Spot Prawn Tasting Menu at Bar Corso (1566 Commercial Drive) on Sunday, June 18.
The one-night-only event pairs the skills and locavore-forward sensibilities shared by Straight & Marrow Chef/Owner Chris Lam and Bar Corso Executive Chef/Operating Partner Luke Boswell as they add a final flourish to the close of the 2023 BC Spot Prawn season.
A limited number of tickets to the dinner — which puts the highly prized fresh spring catches in the spotlight in creative dishes and culinary twists like crudo, carpaccio, and thermidor — are available for $110 per person plus tax and gratuity. Tickets are available here.
Optional drink pairings including a welcome cocktail/glass of bubbly and handpicked varietals showcasing the unique terroir of BC’s Okanagan region from wineries such as Phantom Creek Estate, Lunessance and Bartier Bros are also available for an additional $45 per person plus tax.
