Family Fun at LocoLanding Adventure Park and The Peach Ice Cream Shop

Next time you're in Penticton and looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, I suggest visiting LocoLanding Adventure Park. LocoLanding is a family run business, opened in 2001 by parents Adolf & Lesley, in honour of their late son Mike. They wanted to build a place where families could come and have a laugh, smile and create memories. So glad they did, because we had a great time there creating new memories for our family!

During our visit, a few of the attractions were closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we still had a really fun time. My hubby, boys and I had a bunch of laughs playing Mini Golf, got pretty competitive racing Go Karts, and got soaked on the bumper boats! The boys loved the high-level rope course, but there was no way they were getting me up there! I gladly watched them from the ground.

Some other attractions at the park include Jump n’ Slide, Big Baller, Aeroball, and Xtreme Ninja. They also have a rock climbing wall, but these were temporarily closed due to COVID.

After spending a few hours here, our next stop was to the famous Peach Ice Cream Shop.

If you didn’t already know, The Peach Ice Cream Shop is a Penticton landmark and it’s shaped like a PEACH. It’s located on the city’s iconic waterfront, where they serve a bunch of decadent desserts like ice cream and ginormous shakes.

We ordered two of their Crazy Shakes: Birthday Cake and Beach’n Brownie. A plastic mason jar filled with ice cream topped with cakes, candies and whipped cream. It's crazy decadent - I mean... look at this thing!!!

All in all we had a really fun day at LocoLanding. And you certainly can't visit Penticton and not stop by The Peach Ice Cream Shop for one of their desserts. Unfortunately, both are now closed for the season and will re-open next year in mid May.
